Blood Gnolls are Gnolls mutated by the magical ore called Bloodsydian.

Mutated by Bloodsydian magic they are far stronger and vicious than their former selves.
Blood Gnolls are mutated by Bloodsydian or Blood Ogre, making them faster, stronger and more powerful than Gnoll Reavers or Gnoll Burners. Unlike many other basic enemies, Blood Gnolls are quite hardy and can take a fair amount of damage.

- Blood Gnolls are very hard to deal with in a pack, especially on Veteran modes. Their high health makes whatever defense you have penetrate easily, if exposed under constant pressure of Blood Gnolls. However, when dealing with Blood Ogres and normal gnolls, it is highly recommended to deal with either Ogres or the Gnolls, to not let the Blood Ogres transform Gnolls into Blood Gnolls, otherwise prepare for onslaught.
- Even though Blood Gnolls take more damage from magic, their high health still allows them to tank quite a bit of damage.
- Eldritch Doom, Burst Arrows, and Timelapse also deal extra 30% damage to Blood Gnolls.
- Only those that enter the map as Blood Gnolls give 20 gold when killed. The Gnoll underlings that are transformed to Blood Gnolls give 5 gold.
- Blood Gnolls also receive 30% more damage from Vez'nan, the exact numbers are shown below:
