Tips and Tricks[]

Lilith is a hybrid offensive hero that excels in executing tough foes in a hit and run playstyle, and assisting chokepoints with her buffed physique and abilities. Her main function is to deal with ground enemies like a melee hero, but she can also be positioned more like a ranged hero in various situations, While her stats aren't entirely made to be a reliable permanent staller, her skills have comparatively higher damage potential compared to various heroes. Similarly, her skills are great at crowd clearing and can deal high damage to a single foe in melee combat, with an added bonus of executing said foe, but along with her Resurrection and Heavenly Chaos, it is purely luck based. Players are recommended not to presume the best of fortunes when playing and micromanaging Lilith, and instead play her more pragmatically based on the situation at hand.

  • Lilith focuses on dealing damage with her abilities in quick high bursts of damage, with some decently long cooldowns to compensate.
    • Infernal Wheel is her main source of damage and is one of her most important skill to micromanage for, capable of dealing up to 324 True damage, making it great for both crowd clearing and single target burst.
      • This skill works best when paired with reinforcements or barracks, to get the most damage against a group, but if her target is slow or isolated enough, Lilith can also cast it on one target and then stall them.
      • Lilith will cast Infernal Wheel on the closest target in front of her first, her melee target second, and target behind her last, so it's best to keep her at a distance.
    • Reaper's Harvest is her signature single target skill. The lengthy windup to the attack gives enough time to relocate her in case she targets an enemy you don't wish to use the skill on. This skill also has a 30% chance to instantly kill the target, but her 330 True damage is already a reliable source of true damage. This skill also can be boosted with Soul Eater, allowing it to potentially deal enormous amount of damage when paired with a strong boost.
      • It is recommended to keep track of the time management of Reaper's Harvest as Lilith can potentially eliminate a troublesome enemy before they come in contact with a chokepoint.
      • Twilight Harassers will try to dodge this skill if their dodge is not on cooldown. Players should keep this in mind lest the skill is wasted for nothing.
    • Since Lilith relies purely on Infernal Wheel and Reaper's Harvest with a respective cooldown of 20 and 23 seconds, she doesn't need to stay in combat constantly. It is best to use her in melee combat with a strong Soul Eater boost, or when the need for an additional staller is essential, or for chip damage when her health is still full.
      • An alternative strategy is to only let her quickly engage for Reaper's Harvest, and keep her away the rest of the time, unless you're certain that she won't be casting Infernal Wheel anytime soon.
    • Without proper micromanagement of Infernal Wheel and Reaper's Harvest, Lilith's entire performance will crumble and become reliant on RNG.
  • Lilith's inability to heal while using ranged attacks means she should get completely out of combat in order to heal.
    • Fortunately, since Lilith relies mainly on long cooldown skills to be effective, she can take her time to recover without heavily impacting her overall damage.
  • Resurrection is a relatively low chance of 30% to instantly revive, thus it's not worth it to rely on. It is useful as a lucky last-ditch effort to stall enemies or bosses.
  • Heavenly Chaos's Fallen Angels function identically to Xin's Pandamonium.
    • Compared to Durax's Sapphire Fangs, Heavenly Chaos deals the same total damage at 1200 with 5 seconds longer cooldown. It is also limited to only 6 targets with 200 damage each.
    • Pandamonium has a 20 seconds shorter cooldown and deals 120 less total damage. It is the best out of the three, with the shortest cooldown and no RNG.
    • Heavenly Chaos has a 50% chance to cast Rain of Fire, which deals more damage than all three options discussed above. It has a slight delay before the meteors land.
    • It's not recommended to use it on fast moving enemies, as both Rain of Fire and Fallen Angels have a different delay to attack. Rain of Fire should be aimed ahead of moving enemies while Fallen Angels should be aimed on top of enemies. Blocking the targets removes this issue.

Compared to Eridan, her basic normal attacks and reliable tanking capability are inferior, as Eridan can also heal during his ranged attacks and can better deal with (groups of) flying enemies. However, her skills' damage outputs are much higher, as well as being True damage, and can be more valuable than the ability to tank a single target for a long period. Her Infernal Wheel, while unable to damage flying enemies, can deal just as much damage as Eridan's hero spell with nearly half the cooldown while keeping her Hero Spell slot free. Eridan is less micro-intensive and easier to use, though.

Guide to better micromanagement of Lilith

To properly micro Lilith, refraining from using her as a melee hero is a good start. The most common mistake for inexperienced players is putting Lilith in a constant melee position. This often forces her into casting Infernal Wheel on a bad spot, losing her overall damage. As the range of her ranged attack is slightly shorter than that of Infernal Wheel, this can be used to gauge which enemies are in range. Infernal Wheel works best when she's not in melee combat, but when it's on cooldown, you can freely use her for stalling and use Reaper's Harvest. Learning to track when she'll use Infernal Wheel can be very beneficial.

It is okay to miss a few good hits with Reaper's Harvest, but Infernal Wheel will impact her result the most. Soul Eater can be ignored completely when microing.

As you level up Lilith, you'll want to prioritize upgrading her strongest skills first.

  • Infernal Wheel is her bread and butter and should be fully upgraded first before any other skills. Fortunately it can be fully upgraded right after you first unlock her.
  • Reaper's Harvest and Heavenly Chaos can be upgraded second and third, in whatever order. Heavenly Chaos has a longer cooldown but has a higher damage potential, while Reaper's Harvest has a shorter cooldown, allowing it to spread out damage, but it deals less damage overall. Reaper's Harvest deals only 6 more damage against a single target than Infernal Wheel, and doesn't deal area damage, which is why Infernal Wheel is top priority.
  • Soul Eater fourth and Resurrection the last.
