Tips and Tricks[]

  • Prince Denas is a melee physical hero that excels in stalling enemy waves and combat durability. His kit is built for establishing a temporary chokepoint to stall foes on his own or reinforce an established chokepoint , both options serve to protect the lane from being overwhelmed, creating good opportunities for towers to destroy the horde and/or creating a good opportunity for a well-positioned Thunderbolt.
  • Prince Denas is durable at higher levels, able to resist substantial degrees of physical damage from even the mighty Bandersnatch and Twilight Golem in single combat. When coupled with Sybarite and Celebrity, he can stall a single foe longer than any other hero.
  • Prince Denas gives an extra 25 gold every wave. The extra gold can be utilized to build and upgrade your towers more effectively and quickly. If possible, if the battle situation is under control, it is better to call in the next wave, especially since the extra 25 gold will be added on top of the rewards for the next wave called early.
    • Prince Denas requires to be on standby instead of moving, in order to grant the bonus gold.
  • Syabarite is Prince Denas' healing skill that heals Prince Denas by a maximum of 240 health which is about 60% of his maximum health, with a modest cooldown of 22 seconds. This works well with Prince Denas' high armor rating of 65% and ensures Prince Denas survives the toughest of battles easily without much worry about his health.
  • Celebrity is Prince Denas' crowd control ability that can stun up to 9 enemies for up to 5 seconds. This is a great ability that significantly boosts Prince Denas' stalling capabilities and can be used to great effect on a group of close knitted enemies by holding them back. Celebrity also affects units that walk directly into Celebrity's area of effect, so long as the enemy threshold for this skill has not been reached.
    • Celebrity can stun flying enemies as well. Players can make use of this advantage to disrupt flying foes with abilities.
    • Prince Denas requires time to execute this animation however, and as a result if not positioned well, some enemies may leak during the animation. Therefore, a good solution is to position Prince Denas at chokepoints when tactically casting Celebrity, so that friendly units can prevent leaks from penetrating though whist Prince Denas is performing the animation.
    • Overall, Celebrity fares worse in emergencies where player chokepoints are being overwhelmed, but excels in controlled situations where player chokepoints are in control of the battle situation.
  • Mighty is Prince Denas' single target ability that helps deal respectable True Damage to a single enemy. This can be used liberally as Prince Denas does not have overall firepower in eliminating enemies, but it can be used to whittle tough enemies whilst stalling in melee combat.
    • Mighty has a noticeable cast animation that can be interrupted. Players can take advantage of the delay to choose a target to cast Mighty on.
  • Avenger serves as a chain attack skill that bounces off foes up to 6 times dealing True Damage with a short cooldown of 15 seconds. The skill has the potential to deal heavy damage to an isolated pair of enemies.
    • It is recommended not to attack single foes due to Avenger not being able to bounce to another enemy, wasting the damage potential Avenger could have done.
  • Sworn Defenders is Prince Denas' Hero Spell that summons up to 5 Kingsguard members to aid Prince Denas in battle. This is a great hero spell for the purpose of stalling foes in melee combat, as the Kingsguard members have a good durability of 40% armor.
  • Sworn Defenders can be potentially used to aid stalling in other lanes away from Prince Denas to cover another point of defense. Since Prince Denas' move speed is average, this can be a good option to aid defenses instead of being forced to move Prince Denas.
    • Sworn Defenders however are vulnerable to foes that deal area attacks, ranged attacks and foes that deal True Damage via their abilities. They are also susceptible to being converted by foes such as Driders, Dark Spitters and Shadow Champions. Caution must be therefore be made when utilizing the Hero Spell; wrongly positioning the defenders or deploying them at an unsuitable time will hinder your defenses and render the spell obsolete.
  • While Prince Denas is great in crowd control and stalling, his main weakness is his lack of a high damage output, which is somewhat compensated with Mighty and Avenger to weaken enemies.
