HeroProfile Catha

Catha the Pixie is a Hero in Kingdom Rush: Origins. She's unlocked at Gryphon Point on Steam and Rockhenge on Mobile. She starts at Level 4.

Description[]

Fairies are timid creatures who play and laugh around ancient and mystical oaks. Catha laughs but she is not playing by any means. She is fierce and fearlessly determined to follow the path of Sanha, the great Fae champion. Besides healing her allies, she wields and throws harmful magical thorns able to put her enemies to sleep. Tips and Tricks[]

Catha is a physical ranged hero that excels in harassing foes and supporting chokepoints via healing your chokepoint. With her kit, Catha is a disruptive force of nature against hapless isolated foes, but can also be used to stump the momentum of foes battling chokepoints, while prolonging said chokepoint's survivability.

  • Faery Soul aids Catha's survivability by healing herself and other friendly units around Catha. By raising this skill, Catha is able to venture off chokepoints to disrupt foes together with Reinforcements
    • Catha can also retreat to a chokepoint to support them and prolong their lives further against the enemy horde.
  • Faery Tale allows Catha to create a makeshift chokepoint of her own via her copies. It also allows Catha to level up smoother by effectively raising her ranged attack output up to 5 times towards a single target as long as the copies do not engage in melee combat.
    • Faery Tale shines best when defending an established chokepoint, as the copies will rarely get into range unless outnumbered or overwhelmed.
  • Pixie's Fury is a skill with a generous cooldown, aimed at attacking multiple enemies. It can also be converged into a single isolated target, dealing tons of magical damage.
    • It should be noted that Pixie's Fury does magical damage, and is therefore ineffective against magic resistant enemies. However, since Catha does physical damage, this skill can be seen as an added bonus damage that works with minimal to no micromanagement.
  • Pixie's Curse is Catha's main disrupting ability, and serves as a strong disruption tool in tandem with her copies made from Faery Tale.
    • With Pixie's Curse maxed, Catha can consistently stun an isolated enemy to it's demise with the help of her copies.
    • Additionally, it can be used to stun the enemies battling your barrack units, as well as delay other enemies from prematurely approaching the chokepoint.
  • Catha's Hero Spell, Faery Dust, grants up to 6 seconds of stun to a group of enemies. This ability works on bosses as well, albeit at half of it's duration.
    • Faery Dust is unique in the sense that the affected range of the ability is at least 3 times larger than what the cast portrays to be. This means that Faery Dust can be used to stun a huge group of enemies, or more if considering converging or nearby parallel lanes.
    • Faery Dust's short cooldown of 25 seconds means it can be used more than once in a wave. So it is okay to use the spell generously and offensively so long as it does not compromise your defenses later.
      • Interestingly, if Faery Dust is used on a Perython carrying either a Gnoll Gnawer or a rock, the Perython will instantly drop its cargo. While the dropped Gnawers will not be slept, their carriers will be. Use this to your advantage.

Catha, when fully leveled up, is excellent in dealing with large groups of enemies. Her four pixie warriors are all fast ranged attackers, can be healed by Catha's passive ability, and have the chance of putting enemies to sleep. In addition, her Hero Spell can stun enemies for up to six seconds, giving her, her pixies, and nearby soldiers and towers a considerable amount of time to dish major damage.

Range[]

  • Scope: 350 in ranged
