The Boulder Circle is the level 2 Artillery Tower in Kingdom Rush: Origins. It's upgraded from the Stone Circle.
Description[]
"Heavier boulders to crush an even larger area!"
The tower doesn't change much in appearance from the previous one - the druid gains two green bracers and more stones and moss are clustered around him. The damage, however, gets a substantial increase - this tower deals about 2.5 times that of the Stone Circle.
Range[]
- 13% wider than the Level 1 Stone Circle
Cost analysis[]
- Total DPS: Average damage / attack speed * number of enemies hit
- Cost Efficiency: Total cost / DPS
Note: DPS is calculated without Hardened Boulders.
Damage Efficiency Comparisons[]
Stone Circle | Boulder Circle | Menhir Circle | Arch-Druid | Weirdwood | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Cost | 125 | 345 | 665 | 1040 | 1065 |
DPS | 3.2 | 8 | 13.3 | 23.5 | 24 |
g/DPS | 38 | 42.5 | 50 | 44 | 43 |
Strategy[]
- Like all basic artillery towers, the Boulder Circle is good against hordes of weaker enemies but struggles against lone, durable enemies.
- It cannot attack flying enemies directly, but can hit them with area damage when attacking ground foes directly below them.
- If there is a group of enemies that are close together, this tower is recommended for its area capability.
- If there are fast enemies, reinforcements or barracks can be used to block them so that the Boulder Circle has an easier target.
